Grandma Hen mentioned that while we were visiting, she thought the boys might enjoy the Portsmouth Children's museum. P is especially into science, so I was sure she was right. She suggested that we make a whole day of it and ride the Tide and the ferry to get there, rather than just driving to Portsmouth. P and C enjoyed the journey as well as the destination!
C loves to engage in pretend play. One of his favorite pretend games involves a puppy named Rouskey. Given this, it was no surprise that the vet office at the museum was one of his favorite places.
P really enjoyed the "CSI" exhibit. With very little help, he was able to analyze DNA samples and find the thief in our midst.
C saved the day and put out several fires.
Both P and C love to go to the dentist, so I wasn't surprised when the giant toothbrush and set of teeth were a hit, either. I remember picking the boys up from school last spring and telling them, "We're headed to the dentist," only to have them both respond with cheers. I told the boys that they should let our dental hygienist and dentist know how much they loved to go to the dentist, explaining that they don't hear that a lot because not everyone enjoys the dentist as much as they do. P immediately responded, "Who doesn't love to go to the dentist?" So sweet, and such a great attitude.
After a full day, we headed home for a family dinner and a night of rest!
