Darkfin

P has asked for a pet multiple times, and as he got older his requests increased. Second grade got off to a great start for P, and he had us convinced he was ready for some more responsibility, so on the last day of August we welcomed a new member to our family.

I love the smile on P's face as he holds the Beta fish he chose!

Darkfin settled right in, and I am happy to report that seven months later, Darkfin is still very happy at our house. (Then again, both boys are using Darkfin's excellent care in their arsenal as they argue their case for gerbils...)
