Christmas at the Gaylord

A couple of years ago, P and I took a trip to the Gaylord Hotel with Grandma Paige and Poppa Fred and saw their ICE! show when the Grinch was featured.  This year, we were lucky enough for it to work out for our family of four to meet up with them at the Nashville Gaylord, where we took in the "Shrek the Halls" themed ICE! show.

We had a blast!  Upon arrival in our room, C decided to do a little light reading.

When we were ready to head out and explore the grounds, the boys were instantly drawn to the beautiful landscaping and the fountains.

We took a boat ride through the Gaylord {narrated by Mrs. Claus!}.

There was a "Christmas town" play area in the lower level of the hotel.  We stopped in to hear some stories read by Mrs. Claus before playing the night away.  {The rest of my pictures from the play area are kind of blurry - there wasn't a whole lot of holding still!}

Since the ICE! show was Dreamworks themed, there were several characters in photo spots around our hotel.

We bundled up before heading into the ICE! show.

After the ICE! show, we finally caught up with Gingy in his gingerbread house.

We stuck around for a while and constructed a gingerbread family.

Before heading home, we had breakfast with Shrek and his pals.  C, our resident princess enthusiast, suddenly decided he was frightened of Princess Fiona and was not excited by the prospect of a photo at all.

Breakfast was delicious, and the company was even better!

I hope your Christmas was Dreamworks filled dreamy as well!
