The first Saturday in June, we headed to Tweetsie Railroad because our favorite little blue engine was visiting the park.
Several of the families from P's class arranged to go to the park together and spend the day. P also asked for permission to bring along one of his friends from church, Colby.
We arrived around nine and had tickets to ride the nine thirty train. While we waited for the train to pull out of the station so we could score good spots in line, we headed to jail for a photo op.
Before we knew it, it was our turn to ride Thomas. P snagged a seat with Colby, and his friend Quinn snagged a seat in my lap. (Quinn and his family are moving this summer... we sure are going to miss them, but we also know this is the right move for their family!) C sat with Daddy A.
We got comfortable and set off for a train ride through the wilderness. We ran into some trouble, but Thomas saved the day.
