Ares goes to school

If you've been following along for a while, you know that our school asks the students to do a lot of oral presentations.  In November, each second grader had to choose a Greek god or goddess on which to report, and they had to give the report dressed as that character.  P chose Ares, God of War.  As usual, we got some help for our friend M for his costume.  {Hopefully when C is in second grade we can just do a couple of updates to this, especially since M has moved to the Big Apple and may not see the urgent need for a trip across state lines to help C complete a school project.}

Even Freddy got dressed up for the occasion!

Daddy A and I were both able to watch P's presentation.  He did a great job of getting his information across while adding in some funny jokes.  He even explained that he had to leave his weapons in the chariot he parked out front because our school director told him he couldn't bring them in!  {Of course, when he told that story as Ares, he pretended to have no idea who the school director was or why weapons wouldn't be able in the building.}

This went in the yearbook as P's favorite school project this year.
