a quick trip to Virginia Beach

This summer we were lucky enough to make two trips to Virginia to visit the boys' grandparents.  Each trip is special, but here are a few highlights from this one.

P received a "blobimal" from Grandma Hen and Granddaddy Rooster.  It's a bit of what's sort of like shiny play-doh and some plastic "monster parts" you can stick inside it.  If you make a blobimal and leave it out, the goo will melt down until you have a, well, blob... with the monster pieces floating inside it.  Both boys loved watching the transformation.

Grandma Hen's gracious neighbors always offer their pool when we visit.  As you might expect, a pool within walking distance is a big hit!  C spent this visit trying to give me a heart attack by jumping and twisting around near the steps in the shallow end of the pool.

P was happy to float into deeper waters.

Of course, the biggest treat of all was spending time with family!
