No Business Like Show Business!

Near the end of May, P had his dance recital.  Daddy A and I took lots of pictures at the dress rehearsal (you're not allowed to take pictures during the actual performance), but because of the stage lighting most of them didn't come out well.  I also had trouble getting the videos to upload, so if you want to see those you'll have to come by the house.  :)

Here are just a few photos of the big event.

We dropped P off backstage.  Almost everyone around us was putting on finishing touches or settling in to wait for the teachers.  We stepped back and watched P calmly play his video game.  (I was a proud mama when I heard that he also calmly shared his video game during the recital.)

P's class did the theme song from "The Flintstones" for their first number.  You'll notice that there were not two,  but three, boys in the recital this year.

Their second number was "Walk Your Dinosaur".  The boys wore dinosaur costumes.  P was determined to have a red costume, so when we couldn't find one for purchase he asked his Grandma Hen to please make him one.  She did a wonderful job!

At the end of the number, P started chewing on his tail.  This got a laugh from the audience, so I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that he repeated that peformance a few minutes later.

We picked P up at the backstage door after his recital was over and awarded him his trophy.  We ended the evening with a celebratory dinner.
