P's eighth birthday

On his birthday, P took golden snitch cake pops to school as an after lunch treat for his classmates.

At the end of the day, he opened birthday presents from his family.

I just loved this gift.  It was a birthday present for P from the manager at our credit union.  Some time over the past year, P has become a Steelers fan.  As Redskins fans ourselves, his dad and I aren't sure how this happened... anyway, the manager of our credit union is also a Steelers fan, so he gifted P with an old "Terrible Towel".  It was so thoughtful of him to give it to P.  It now hangs proudly in his room, even though P is quick to explain that the Steelers have actually won SIX Superbowls at this point.  :)

It was a wonderful day for a wonderful kid!
