spring break trip, day two

While we were in Fredericksburg for spring break, we decided to take a tour of some of the historic sites downtown.  P especially enjoys history, and we decided that both boys were old enough to enjoy a few visits.

We all learned some new things and had fun walking through downtown.  Then the boys headed home to practice some archery with bows they made from branches and rocket balloons.  I thought the design {P's idea} was very clever!

And eventually, we attempted to wind down for bed, although this picture makes it clear that neither of the boys was out of energy!
