Virginia Zoo

From Fredericksburg, we headed on to Virginia Beach to see Grandma Hen and Granddad Rooster.  On our first full day, we went to the Virginia Aquarium, and then the next day we went to the zoo.  We hadn't been to the Virginia Zoo since C was an infant, so this was a different experience!

C used the map to help me figure out which animals we should visit, and in what order we should visit them.

Then we hopped on the train for a ride around the zoo.

P liked the tiger fountain.

C's favorite photo spot was this butterfly bench.

We saw lots of animals, but these were by far the most ferocious looking.  They turned out to be very loving, so we took them home with us.  :)

That evening, the boys got to spend some time with their cousin Bradley.  He came by for dessert and birthday presents.  {He turned 15 days after this photo was taken!}

The day was full of fun!
