pumpkin carving

Both of my boys have always enjoyed carving pumpkins.  This year they wanted very different designs on their pumpkins.  They had a blast scooping out the pumpkin innards, and Daddy A gave them a hand with the actual carving.

C wanted a pumpkin with Mariposa the fairy princess on the front.  She even has "light colored" wings to accent her cut out body.

P wanted a scary - but not too scary - pumpkin.  He thought about a werewolf design, but he ended up deciding this was the way to go.

I loved the process and the end result this year.  Daddy A was so involved in helping the boys while still letting them be very hands on, and the boys' pumpkins really reflect their current personalities and favorite things.  I got to watch, take a few pictures, and spend some time with the whole family.  It was a win for everyone!
